Oris Watches - The Chronoris

What follows is a review of the Oris Chronoris Clock. With his uniform black, orange and steel the Chronoris was designed so that 'sporty look' that is so fashionable to offer today. But does the rise Chronoris Clock from Oris is a good sports watch?

Not begin Oris, sports watches until just over thirty years ago. Oris were synonymous with automatic watches, and for the "red rotor" the automatic is famous. But manyderided Oris sports watches. They felt that Oris had no heritage in sports watches and was just trying to cash produced in an expanding market and watches, confirms his ignorance of sports watches. There was some truth in this criticism, but times are changing and the Chronoris is now causing quite stir among watch connoisseurs.

Oris have been a number of design watches with motorsport as the theme. Associated with the Oris Williams F1 Teamproduce a clock with the same name. Other watches in the motor racing stable are the TT3, Oris TT1 and Chronoris.

What distinguishes the Chronoris apart from the other models in this collection is the shape of the housing. Unlike the other models, which feature circular enclosure that Chronoris has a slightly oval shape with clipped ends. The housing is stainless steel. What I like about the case that the surface does not shine, but brushed a "" look to it.

The dial is black withwhite indices - there are no numbers. The subcommittee dial on the 12-clock position is an additional minute hand and the hand is orange as the main instrument of the second hand. There is also an orange, one side Rastmechanismus bezel. The date is displayed in a round window at the 6-clock position. The size of the case is 40.00 mm (1.575 inches). The clock feels great, has a nice weightiness to it and is also on the wrist.

The sapphire crystal is slightly domed and really the complementForm of housing.

The black and orange leather strap does not look really good, the orange edges is mainly - although how long the edge to keep their bright orange color, contentious. The belt comes with a stainless steel folding clasp, not buckle - a good security feature. I feel the strap is the biggest problem. Leather straps fade overtime but I feel for this clock to look its best, the vivid orange color is crucial.

The automatic movement is a ETA 7750 and you will see theobligatory red rotor through a viewing window on the rear housing.

I usually do not have the box comes in the clock care, I buy watches are worn and not as collectibles. However, the Oris Chronoris comes in a beautiful leather gift box, complete with a second stainless steel bracelet and a tool to change it from the leather straps.

All in all, Oris have come up with a very desirable sports watch with Chronoris. The design of the housingand the black and orange combination make it a little differently than everyone else watches on the market. One thing I am certain that the Oris Chronoris not be seen by critics ridiculed.
